Ultrition measures your sweat, reads the forecast, and writes the carb, sodium and fluid numbers for every session. Then it checks whether you hit them.

HOW IT WORKS
Most athletes fuel from a number they read once in a magazine. Ultrition replaces it with your own.
Run a 60-minute protocol with a scale and a bottle. Ultrition derives your sweat rate in ml/h and your sodium concentration in mg/L. Retest each season.
Duration, intensity, discipline, heat, humidity and start time go in. Carbs per hour, sodium per hour, fluid per hour and a timed intake schedule come out.
Record what you actually took and how the gut held. Ultrition compares plan to intake, flags the gap, and moves the next target.
THE SWEAT TEST
Sweat rate across endurance athletes spans 400 to 2,400 ml/h. Sodium concentration spans 200 to 2,000 mg/L. A generic 500 ml and 500 mg bottle is wrong for almost everyone — the only question is by how much.
The in-app protocol takes one hour and a kitchen scale. No patches, no lab, no shipping a sample.
INSIDE THE APP
TIMED INTAKE
An hourly number is easy to miss and impossible to recover. Ultrition breaks the plan into timed intakes tied to what is actually in your pockets and bottles — gels, bars, chews, drink mix, real food.
Alerts fire on your watch. Swap an item and the rest of the schedule rebalances so the session total holds.
POST-SESSION REVIEW
Log intake and gut comfort in under thirty seconds. Ultrition scores the session, names the specific gap, and adjusts the next plan rather than repeating the same target.
Gut training is a progression, not a setting. Carb tolerance climbs in 5–10 g/h steps across weeks, and the app holds the ladder for you.
One partial session on 12 Jun — 68 g/h against a 78 g/h target, GI rated 3/5. Target held rather than raised.
WEATHER
Forecast temperature, humidity and start time move fluid and sodium before you leave the house.
DISCIPLINES
A brick is not two sessions. Transitions, carriage limits and gut load are modelled per discipline.
RACE DAY
Enter the course aid stations and what they carry. The plan splits into carried and collected.
SYNC
Pull duration and intensity from your existing log. Push intake alerts to the watch on your wrist.
FAQ
Still stuck? Write to coach@ultrition.app and an actual sports dietitian answers.
A bathroom scale and a bottle you can weigh. Sweat rate comes from mass change corrected for intake. Sodium concentration is estimated from a short questionnaire and refined over your first four logged sessions, or entered directly if you have a patch test result.
Only if you have trained for it. Ultrition starts you where your logged intake actually sits, then raises the target in 5–10 g/h steps and holds it whenever gut comfort drops. It will not put a race-day number on a rider who has never carried more than 40 g/h.
Yes. The catalogue covers the major gel, chew, bar and drink-mix brands, and you can add anything with a label — carbs, sodium and volume per serving is all it needs. Ultrition sells nothing and takes no brand money.
Good. Share a read-only athlete link and your coach sees every plan, every logged intake and the gut-training progression. Most coaches prescribe training load, not milligrams of sodium per hour.
The sweat test, session plans and logging are free. A subscription unlocks race-day aid-station mapping, the coach link and multi-season history. Full pricing is on the store listing.
No. Ultrition is a training tool for healthy athletes. If you manage a condition affected by carbohydrate or sodium intake, take the plan to your clinician before you follow it.
